Totally - I took it for granted when I was younger, and probably even shied away from it! Now. I try to grab at least 20-30 mins with meditating every day and work from home 2+ days a week 👌🤞
i love silence, external silence that is, the internal chatter that's a whole other thing. relentless, loud, bossy, often mean or just a constant loop of exhaustion. And like right now when i have the opportunity to be in external silence where do I find myself? online, inputting more and more and more, sometimes as a way to silence the chatter, but really just adding to it...
I used to be a committed meditator, why did I let that go??? I love the idea of a mantra, must find myself one and bring back the practice.
thank you for giving me something to think about, life aye, what a journey
Internal silence feels impossible sometimes! And you are right, we essentially never have to experience it, since he have distraction at our fingertips! It’s a vicious cycle, and our internal worlds get noisier. Let me know how you go with mantra meditations - my favourites are Aham Brahmasmi and Om Mani Padme Hum :-)
Silence is priceless……..

The electric shock thing is WILD
I would be keen to know how many of those who resisted shocks were parents to young kids and just happy to be somewhere quiet 😂😂
