Hey Alicia! Great article. I've been focusing a lot on gut health over the last 15 months or so. It makes a world of difference, and something I'll talk to anyone about, too! You should check out the podcast Zoe Science and Nutrition. I think you'll really love it!
All over it! Love Zoe and Tim Spector’s books!! Am currently deep in a low FODMAPs diet trying to get rid of SIBO (which I had to work out myself that I had, then request a test 🙄). Love all the gut stuff - it’s so important and makes a huge difference!! (And also super interesting the links between endo and gut health - which is also not widely discussed!!)
This was great! Loved the further reading list too, and the plants experiment. Do you think it includes things that have gone through some sort of process (ie. Sauerkraut) or just raw? I’m going to do it!
I reckon a big tick to fermented foods which give a boost to gut health with all the prebiotic goodness inside! Things like dried herbs/spices count too. I have restarted my list on the fridge again today :-)

Loved this! Thanks for writing, Alicia!! Certainly not something I give a lot of thought too….. perhaps I should be…. Xx
